Square Pagoda Garden

Changshu Fangta Garden is located at the eastern end of the ancient city of Changshu. It is a newly built classical garden on the site of an ancient Song Dynasty monument. It covers a total area of nearly 30,000 square meters and is named after the square tower in the garden.

The full name of the square tower is "Chongjiao Xingfu Temple Tower". It has nine floors on four sides and is a landmark building in the ancient city of Changshu. It was built in the Southern Song Dynasty and was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006.

The square tower, the ancient well from the Song Dynasty and the ancient ginkgo tree are collectively known as the "Three Treasures of the Garden". The buildings in Fangta Garden are all imitations of the Song Dynasty style. They are not only gorgeous and majestic, showing the cultural context and charm of royal gardens, but also adopt the tortuous and changeable techniques of Jiangnan gardens. The curved bridges, pavilions, corridors, waterside terraces, mountains, rocks, flowers and trees complement each other.
