!! In Zhejiang!! Stunning Century-Old Ginkgo Village

Hidden in Zhejiang, the "Northern Autumn Scenery Substitute"! This ginkgo corridor in Huzhou is breathtakingly beautiful in November

People often say Zhejiang’s autumn lacks the intensity of the north, until a colleague from Huzhou enthusiastically recommended a secret spot—here, there’s no vast frozen desolation, but nearly ten thousand ginkgo trees create a golden valley, hiding autumn romance right at the doorstep of the Yangtze River Delta.

This place is the Ten-Mile Ancient Ginkgo Corridor in Badujia, Changxing, Huzhou. From mid-November to early December every year, the entire village is dyed warm gold by the ginkgo leaves. Streams flow around yellow leaves, old houses nestle in the shade, and every snapshot is a healing autumn masterpiece.

How to enjoy the scenery without missing out?

Drive directly to the "Ten-Mile Ancient Ginkgo Corridor" scenic area entrance. After parking, take the scenic shuttle bus for the easiest experience, which covers all the key spots: start at the Longtoushan Glass Skywalk overlooking the entire golden landscape, then walk down to the thousand-acre flower sea dotted with gesang flowers and autumn asters. The grass by the stream is vividly green, creating a magical contrast of "spring and summer framed with autumn and winter." Next, take the ginkgo mini train; the vintage carriages weave through the forest, and any angle you shoot looks like a movie still. When you reach the Ancient Ginkgo Park, don’t rush off—this is the "golden core area" of the scenic spot. Sunlight filters through the leaves, covering the ground with a thick "golden carpet." Nearby, there are stalls selling warm ginkgo bean curd, perfectly fitting the season.

If you want to avoid crowds, consider visiting Kongwangjiao Temple, just a 10-minute drive from Ginkgo Park. The ancient temple nestles against the mountain, offering a particularly quiet atmosphere. The "Ginkgo Queen," a thousand-year-old tree, grows here with strong branches and a full canopy of golden leaves, beautifully showing the passage of time. For a relaxed and cozy experience, the lakeside lawn at Baduyan is a must-visit. Set up a canopy for camping, enjoy the breeze and lake view, try water golf, or stroll on the wooden boardwalk soaking up the sun—so comfortable you won’t want to leave.

Remember these tips!

- Don’t miss the peak autumn colors; mid-November to early December is the best time. Too early, the leaves aren’t fully yellow; too late, they may have all fallen.
- Be sure to pick a sunny day! Sunlight on the ginkgo leaves makes them glow golden; cloudy days are a big difference.
- It’s best to enter the park in the morning when there are fewer people and the light is soft. In the afternoon, the slanting sun can cause shadows in photos.
- The mountain has big temperature differences between morning and evening. Even if it’s warm at noon, bring a jacket to avoid catching a chill in the evening.
