I explored the surrounding area over the weekend and unexpectedly found an incredibly interesting place! No need to travel too far—just a little over an hour's drive away. It's perfect for family outings and photo trips. Let me share our experience~
📍 Maoshan Forest World
🚗 About 1.5h drive from Nanjing
🅿️ The south gate parking lot is right at the scenic area entrance, very convenient
✨ Here's what makes it fun👇
🌿 Capybara Coffee House
Hidden in the magical black forest, stepping inside feels like entering another world. With a thatched roof and panoramic windows overlooking a stream and greenery. Grab a coffee and relax, swing in the net beds, and listen to the rain—it's incredibly peaceful. Capybaras leisurely wander nearby, close enough to touch, while raccoons peek out from the tree houses.
🌸 Monet Garden
Located right next to the coffee house, it's surrounded by various flowers with eye-catching giant green cat installations. Great for photos and you won't get bored even spending an entire afternoon here.
🐒 Mao Monkey Diving
A group of monkeys eagerly wait by the shore, responding to staff instructions for feeding, and you can watch them dive skillfully like professional athletes—agile and entertaining.
Meerkat House
Near the Monkey Adventure Station, a group of meerkats stand in a row, super adorable.
Raccoon Handshakes
In the raccoon area, if you're lucky, you can shake hands with the raccoons. Their soft, begging expressions are absolutely lovable.
🎢 Prairie Fun
The vast grassland area features a prairie ranch, sky walkway, and glass bridge. The sheep at the ranch are very gentle and you can even hold them. There are also alpacas and deer that interact lovingly with visitors. The rainbow grass sliding is great fun—we went back and forth several times.
🍜 Convenient Dining
The coffee house offers snacks, and the food street next to the prairie serves hot meals. Bringing your own snacks and fruits is also a good option.
If you want to take your time exploring, I recommend staying overnight. I heard the tea field tents allow you to wake up surrounded by the aroma of tea—I plan to try that next time! If you're wondering where to go on the weekend, this place is definitely worth a visit~
