The carving techniques include round carving, sunken carving, relief carving, and openwork carving, which vividly express complex multi-layered content. The exterior colors fully utilize three major techniques: black lacquer with gold, polychrome with gold, and plain carving, making the entire building distinct in weight and layers. It is therefore known as "a masterpiece of Chaozhou wood carving."
