Follow these two featured routes to experience Chaozhou's intangible cultural heritage!

On June 14, the 2025 Guangdong Main Venue Event for Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, jointly organized by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Chaozhou Municipal People's Government, kicked off in Chaozhou. During the event, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released the "2025 Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Featured Tourism Routes."

Among them, two Chaozhou routes were selected: "Millennium Chaozhou Rhyme · Intangible Cultural Heritage Craftsmanship" in-depth experience tour and "Chaozhou Fun · Chaozhou Charm" immersive intangible cultural heritage experience tour.

Through a "performance + interaction + experience" model, this route showcases intangible cultural heritage items such as Chaozhou wood carving, Chaozhou embroidery, and Yingge dance, connecting featured attractions like the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Baishi Garden, Paifang Street (including the Yingge Dance Experience Hall), and Guangji Bridge. Visitors can watch Yingge dance performances, participate in craft-making activities, and purchase cultural and creative products, achieving visual displays, in-depth experiences, and market-oriented dissemination of intangible cultural heritage skills, offering a comprehensive immersion into Chaozhou's cultural charm.
👉Yixi Fucheng Folk Museum
Located on Shipai Village Road, Yixi Town, Xiangqiao District, the Hanjiang Fucheng Folk Museum focuses on displaying the production and lifestyle customs of Chaozhou's ancestors. It features multiple themed halls, including the "Chaozhou Dialect Hall," "Farming Hall," "Drawnwork Hall," "Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall," "Etiquette Hall," "Overseas Chinese Hall," and "Red Education Base," highlighting Chaozhou's unique folk culture.
👉Guangji Bridge
Spanning the Han River and connecting its east and west banks, Guangji Bridge was a vital transportation hub in ancient Guangdong, linking to Fujian and Zhejiang. It is one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Chaozhou." Combining beam bridge, pontoon bridge, and arch bridge designs, it is one of China's most famous opening-closing bridges integrating "pavilion bridges" and "pontoon bridges," hailed as "the world's earliest opening-closing bridge." Hence, there's a local saying: "Visiting Guangdong without seeing Chaozhou is a wasted trip; visiting Chaozhou without crossing the bridge is a wasted journey."

During performances, artists manipulate three iron rods to bring puppets to life, with every movement exuding delicate vitality.
👉Chaozhou Fenghuang Dancong Tea Museum
Located in Dongxing Village, Fenghuang Town, Chao'an District, the Chaozhou Fenghuang Dancong Tea Museum is housed in a renovated ancient building covering 5,500 square meters. It features eight exhibition sections with rich displays, including tea samples and tea sets. The museum's treasure is a nearly 700-year-old "Tea King" specimen from the Song Dynasty, making it an ideal destination to explore Fenghuang Dancong tea culture.
