2025 Chengdu Panda Lantern Festival Guide

Location: Jiangtan Park, High-tech Zone

Although the Panda Lantern Festival is not as spectacular as the one in Zigong, it is a good substitute. It consists of four major groups: "Flowers in Jinguan City", "Night Cruise on Jinjiang River", "Water-Rich Tianfu" and "Peaceful Shu", "Recreating the Grand Scenery of Lantern Markets in Tang and Song Dynasties".

1️⃣ Reservation
① Follow the WeChat public account of "The 54th Chengdu International Panda Lantern Festival" and make a free reservation by linking your mainland China ID number and mobile phone number for real-name authentication.
② After the reservation is successful, please bring your mainland China ID card to the Lantern Festival site and scan your mainland China ID card or QR code to enter the park.
③Due to limited space in the park, there is a daily limit on the number of visitors. Visitors without reservations or will not be allowed to enter the park.

2️⃣ Transportation
① You can take Line 1 or Line 18, and take the Lantern Festival Bus Shuttle Line at Exit F of Century City Subway Station (charged by card according to the existing fare standards of regular urban buses) to the entrance of the Lantern Festival.
②You can take Bus No. 102, 115, 240 or G92 to Jiangtan Park Station. After getting off the bus, you can walk to the entrance of the Lantern Festival. ③ Drive to the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center and other surrounding parking lots, and then walk to the Riverside Park.

3️⃣Time
①January 22, 2025 to March 9, 2025 (closed on January 28, New Year's Eve).
Details are as follows:
January 22 18:00-21:30 (ticket checking for admission stops at 21:00)
January 23-January 27 10.00-21:30 (ticket checking for admission stops at 21:00)
January 29-February 12 10.00-22:00 (ticket checking for admission stops at 21:30)
February 13-March 9 10.00-21:30 (ticket checking for admission stops at 2100)
Note: The opening and closing times may be adjusted according to actual conditions.

② It is recommended to tour in a counterclockwise closed loop, walking about 1.5 kilometers and the tour time is about 1 hour.

4️⃣ Food and Others
① There are various special foods, coffee and tea drinks at the entrance and inside the Lantern Festival, such as crispy bread, pot cakes, octopus balls, egg cakes, oden, etc.

5️⃣Other lantern festivals
①Tiexiang Temple Water Street Theme Lantern Festival: Address: No. 88 Tiexiang Road, Shiyang Street, Chengdu Hi-tech Zone; Time: January 11-February 14; Tickets: Free.

②Dongmen Market Lantern Festival: Address: No. 9 Lingke West Road, Jinjiang District, Chengdu; Time: from the Spring Festival to February; Tickets: Free.

③Wuhou Temple Chengdu Grand Temple Fair: Address: Cultural Relics Area, West District, and Jinli Street District of Chengdu Wuhou Temple Museum; Time: January 27 to February 12; Ticket Price: 40 yuan.
