The lake that you see after passing through the grand gate of Wuhou Temple seems to be doing a good job as a local park. You can see many elderly people playing chess, cards, or mahjong while taking a break in the cool lake breeze, and some people practicing instruments or singing.
Although it is a famous tourist attraction, the pavilion on the lake is used as a resting place by locals, so it feels more comfortable than crowded... And for tourists like me, it is a very pleasant place to feel the life of locals.
