Here are some introductions to Chengdu's urban wetland parks:
- Egret Bay Wetland Park: Located in the southeast of Chengdu city within the Jinjiang Ring Ecological Zone, it borders the Lotus Moonlight area of Sansheng Township to the east and the Ring Expressway to the north. The park covers a total area of 3,000 mu (about 200 hectares), with 1,000 mu (about 66.7 hectares) of water surface. It features over 200 plant species, 100,000 trees, and introduced egrets. Scenic spots include Misty Fragrance Boat, Flower Terrace Fields, and Reed Marsh Flying Snow.
- Jincheng Lake Wetland Park: Situated along Jiannan Avenue in the southern part of the city, it spans 2,400 mu (about 160 hectares) with 1,000 mu (about 66.7 hectares) of water area. The park consists of four lake zones: Zone 1 (Jincheng Park) features Western Sichuan folk-style architecture; Zone 2 has the largest water surface; Zones 3 and 4 adopt traditional Chinese garden designs with stone landscapes, islands, and small bridges.
- Qinglong Lake Wetland Park: Located in Shiling Subdistrict, Longquanyi District, it's the largest wetland park in Chengdu's central urban area, with 4,000 mu (about 266.7 hectares) of water surface and nearly 3,000 mu (about 200 hectares) of green space, home to 400,000 trees. It serves as a habitat for over 200 bird species and showcases Ming Dynasty Shu culture through its architecture.
- Qilong Reclaimed Water Wetland Park: Positioned north of Tianfu 5th Street and west of Kunhua Road, this 128,000-square-meter park is Chengdu's largest vertical flow constructed wetland. It can purify 85,000 cubic meters of water daily and features two main buildings, over 2,900 meters of walking paths, and landscape corridors.
