A complete guide to Chengdu sightseeing in 3 days and 2 nights

Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is a treasure trove of history and cuisine. We've put together an efficient 3-day, 2-night itinerary.

Day 1: Historical and Cultural Tour: Wuhou Temple (a sacred site from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms) → Stroll through Jinli Ancient Street to enjoy traditional architecture and folk crafts. In the evening, experience the essence of Sichuan hot pot at Shu Jiuxiang, an authentic hot pot restaurant.

Day 2: Exploring Modern Chengdu: Shop and see modern architecture at Taikoo Li on Chunxi Road (Chengdu's famous shopping spot). In the afternoon, experience Sichuan tea culture at a teahouse in Chanyuanli (enjoy traditional Chinese tea culture). Locals recommend gaiwan tea at Heming Teahouse. In the evening, enjoy authentic mapo tofu at the main branch of Chenjia Mapo Tofu. (It's spicy, but delicious when you sweat while eating it.)

🚇Access: Chengdu Subway Lines 1 and 3 connect major tourist attractions. The closest stations to Wuhou Temple are Gaoshengjie Station on Line 3, and Chunxi Road Station on Line 2. Taxis are inexpensive in China, so we recommend taking a taxi.

💡 Practical Tips: The Chunxi Road area is easily accessible for accommodation. The hotpot has adjustable spiciness levels, and the mapo tofu boasts an exquisite balance of "ma" (Japanese pepper) and "la" (chili pepper). You can also enjoy mahjong at teahouses. (Locals often play mahjong at various locations.)

This three-day, two-night itinerary allows you to efficiently experience Chengdu's history, culture, and cuisine. Please use it as a reference.
