Du Fu Thatched Cottage in Chengdu|The whole garden is filled with the fragrance of osmanthus...

Sisters! The osmanthus at Du Fu Thatched Cottage is blooming!!!
The first wave of autumn-exclusive romance this year, I rushed right in!!
I have to say, the osmanthus here paired with the ancient architecture is so stunning it leaves me speechless 😭 Every casual shot looks like a classical Chinese film scene!!

📸 Photo spots:
1️⃣ East side path of the Thatched Cottage Residence — There are several old sweet osmanthus trees here, with low-hanging branches and a fragrance so strong it feels like you're soaking in a honey jar!! Stand under the tree, turn back and smile, then zoom out to include a corner of the cottage, and the cinematic vibe is instantly maxed out!!
2️⃣ Corner of the flower path and red wall — Classic spot plus the blessing of osmanthus!! The red wall, bamboo shadows, and specks of golden yellow interweave. Wearing Hanfu or a light-colored dress standing in the light and shadow, the atmosphere is simply divine!!
3️⃣ Stone steps by the water threshold — Sit on the stone steps and shoot from above to capture both the water reflections and fallen flowers in the frame!! Recommended to shoot at 4 PM, with soft light plus shimmering waves, so gentle it takes your breath away!!
4️⃣ Window frame near the cultural and creative park — Shoot osmanthus through the carved window, with a mix of focus and blur creating a very artistic feel!! The framed composition looks super high-end, and you’ll get flooded with questions when posting on social media!!
5️⃣ West gate spot: There are two huge osmanthus trees at the west gate, standing under them is absolutely amazing.

⚠️ Tips:
✅ Be sure to go before 9 AM or after 4 PM!! The light is soft and you can avoid crowds!
✅ Bring a small folding fan or an oil-paper umbrella as props, even beginners can instantly get great shots!
👗 Outfit suggestions:
Wear light colors!! Off-white, pale yellow, lotus pink go perfectly with osmanthus!!
🏨 Accommodation recommendation: Manxin Hotel at Du Fu Thatched Cottage Sichuan Museum
If you want to immerse yourself in a poetic atmosphere in Chengdu, don’t miss the Manxin Hotel at Du Fu Thatched Cottage! The hotel is right next to Du Fu Thatched Cottage, just a few minutes’ walk to enter the park. In the early morning, you can stroll along Huanhua Creek accompanied by birdsong, easily starting your cultural journey!
The service is also very thoughtful; the front desk proactively shares tips for touring the cottage and can help book guided tours at the provincial museum. When you leave, they kindly hand you a local map. Riding shared bikes to Kuanzhai Alley and Qingyang Palace is super convenient. Whether you’re a culture lover or a leisure traveler, this is a great choice!
