Introducing Furong Village

Furong Village is located in Yantou Town, Yongjia County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, on the west bank of the middle reaches of the Nanxi River. The village is named after the three towering cliffs to the southwest, their contrasting red and white colors resembling a lotus flower. The Nanxi River basin is home to over 200 historical and cultural villages, and Furong Village is one of the most representative.

During the Taiping Xingguo period of the Song Dynasty, the founding ancestor Chen Gong moved from Changqiao, Ruian, and settled here, gradually forming a clan village. Furong Village boasts a history of over 1,000 years. Scenic spots to visit include Sima's Residence, the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Sanxing Temple, Yi Street, Furong Pavilion, Minglun Hall, General's House, and the South Gate.
