Daci Temple in Chengdu

When in Chengdu, don't forget to visit Daci Temple. This 1,600-year-old temple is located in the heart of Chengdu. It's near the Taikoo Li shopping area, but once you step inside, you're transported to another world. The atmosphere is peaceful and shady, lined with large trees, offering a sense of complete disconnection from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area.

Inside, you'll find a large Buddha statue, a traditional Chinese pavilion, and a spacious courtyard where locals often come to relax and light incense for blessings. If you prefer a quieter, less crowded environment, Daci Temple is the answer.

(The guide advised that you're allowed to take photos inside the temple, but avoid taking photos that show the Buddha's face directly.)

Besides praying, there's also a small cafe where you can enjoy a refreshing drink.

📍 Getting there: Take the Chengdu Metro to Chunxi Road Station, and it's just a few minutes' walk away.
