Chongqing & Chengdu Trip

Overall, it was such a great and fun trip! Both cities are full of amazing attractions, beautiful sightseeing spots, and delicious food. However, I happened to travel during China’s long National Day holiday — which means everywhere was super packed 😅

Everything was going great until one part that really turned us off — the souvenir and snack shops.
🚫 Please be very careful when shopping! Some places have scams where they overcharge for small quantities (like tea), and after paying at a snack shop, someone may come over asking you to “scratch a lottery ticket.” Somehow, you’ll always “win,” and then they’ll try to sell you jade or other expensive items at a “90% discount” — still costing almost thousand of RMB 😬

I admit, I’m the type who can easily fall for “good deals,” so this was a learning experience for me. The people can be quite aggressive in promoting their products, so just stay alert and enjoy the trip wisely! 💡

Despite that, Chongqing and Chengdu are truly worth visiting — vibrant, full of character, and unforgettable ❤️
