Chengdu - Panda Park

If you're planning a trip to Chengdu to see giant pandas, this is the must-visit spot! But be prepared—it can get pretty crowded, even on weekdays, and the place is enormous.
To make your trip easier, here’s everything you need to know about the Chengdu Panda Base:
1. Passport Required for Entry: Don’t forget your passport, as it’s necessary to enter the park.
2. Best Time to See Giant Pandas: The best time to visit the Chengdu Panda Base is in the morning, when the pandas are most active. You’ll see them feeding and playing, plus it’s less crowded before noon!
3. How to Get to Chengdu Panda Base: We used DiDi (similar to Grab/Uber) and the ride cost us around CNY25-CNY35 (appx SGD5-7) from Taikoo Li, taking just 20 minutes. You can also take a bus, but a DiDi is faster and more convenient.
4. Best Gate to Enter: Most guides suggest entering through the West Gate, but I found the South Gate more convenient. It’s closer to the Giant Panda Pavilions, where most of the pandas are located. Keep in mind the wait time at this gate can be longer.
