Wat Phalat, a beautiful temple in the middle of the forest, Chiang Mai Province

I have been to Doi Suthep and paid homage to Phra That Doi Suthep many times. I just noticed that at the foot of Doi Suthep, there is another temple called "Wat Phalat". I did not hesitate to go in and take a look. It is a very beautiful ancient temple that is hundreds of years old.

Wat Phalat is located on Doi Suthep. From the monument of Khru Ba Srivichai at the foot of Doi Suthep, go up about 5 kilometers. You will see the entrance to the temple on the left. When you enter inside, you will find peace and beauty hidden in the middle of the forest. The evidence does not indicate when it was built, but the name of the temple appears during the reign of King Kue Na, King of Lanna, Rama VI of the Mangrai Dynasty. From the various buildings in the temple, it used to be an abandoned temple. But it was renovated again around 1991 to return to being a temple and a place for meditation again.

The atmosphere inside the temple is full of peace and quiet, cool from the large and small trees that exist naturally. There is also a natural waterfall inside the temple. There are many structures in the temple, such as an ancient pagoda covered with green moss and ferns, a temple built during the time when Kruba Srivichai built a road up Doi Suthep, and a well that is said to be a holy well, etc.

Inside the temple, there are many other architectural spots with Burmese art for you to walk around and enjoy the peacefulness and freshness of the surrounding nature. There is also a lot of peace of mind here. It can be said that Wat Phalat has both peace and beauty hidden in the middle of the forest.
