วัดผาลาด Wat Pha Lat

This temple has a long history, having been founded around 1355 CE during the reign of King Ku Na of the Mangrai Dynasty. Legend has it that the spot where the elephant stopped served as a memorial for the construction of a chedi or temple. This was one of the stops for the transport of the sacred relics up Doi Suthep.
