The world's first exquisite silver chapel ‼️

Take a tour of Wat Sri Suphan, one of Chiang Mai's most prominent tourist attractions. Famous for its exquisitely crafted "world's first silver chapel," Wat Sri Suphan houses two "silver Thao Wessuwan" statues and a silver Ganesha statue, reflecting the community's identity.

In 2004, Wat Sri Suphan also built a new chapel, replacing the dilapidated original. This new chapel, "the world's first silver chapel," was built by artisans as a Buddhist offering, dedicated to the Lanna region and honoring King Rama IX. The temple incorporates the local wisdom of the silversmith community into the stunningly beautiful and intricate silver chapel, intended to "dedicate art to the Lanna region, dedicated to Buddhism, honoring King Rama IX."
