🌟Wat Sri Suphan, Chiang Mai Province is the only temple in Chiang Mai that has the first and only Silver Ubosot in the world, which is over 500 years old. The Silver Ubosot is in the Lanna style, made of silver and tin by local craftsmen.
🎉The area around the temple is a community of local silver carvers who have passed down their skills since ancient times. As a result, the temple is constantly being renovated by skilled craftsmen, giving it a unique beauty.
✨️Inside the Silver Ubosot, there is a famous sacred Buddha image, Phra Chao Chet Tue, which is visited by many tourists and locals. ✨️
♦️Important things to note:♦️Women are prohibited from entering or going up to the Silver Ubosot because it is a sacred place that has been passed down since ancient times.
💰Admission fee: Free for Thais, 50 baht for foreigners.
🦋Every Saturday evening, the temple is full of people because there is a walking street called Wualai. You can come and choose antique silverware made by Lanna craftsmen as souvenirs and gifts from Chiang Mai to take home.
