The Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai perfectly embodies the design philosophy and features of the previous generation of Shangri-La hotels, giving you the feeling of being in a state guesthouse wherever you go. The overall atmosphere is grand and stable, yet very comfortable. You can never go wrong choosing Shangri-La for your vacation! The Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai is also close to several lively night markets and canal markets, as well as some popular restaurants, making it so convenient to enjoy the local cuisine! The lunch dim sum buffet at the hotel's Chinese restaurant is also great value.
This time, we booked the Presidential Suite directly when we came to Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai. The hotel also gave us a specially customized bathrobe embroidered with my initials, AM (Andrew Murong) - so great! Looking at the floor plan of the Presidential Suite, it is about the size of five regular rooms, and the room is fully furnished in a luxurious Thai palace style. The suite is located in the middle of the top floor of the Shangri-La, with a fantastic view! There is also a SPA room, so you don't have to go to the spa center. It's great to have a massage in the room!
The resort area of Shangri-La Hotel, Chiang Mai is not small. It has a swimming pool, children's play area, and slides, and even a small garden. The SPA center is nestled among lush trees. When staying at Shangri-La, you definitely can't miss a relaxing SPA treatment in a small villa with its own courtyard. There is also a bathtub with a small waterfall and running water outdoors. The environment is very good! 30 minutes of body scrub + 90 minutes of classic Lanna essential oil massage is probably the most cost-effective SPA in Chiang Mai's luxury hotels. Highly recommended!
