What are some must-visit places in Chiang Mai?

1. If you had to pick just one cafe in Chiang Mai?
-> Akha Ama Phrasingh
Akha Ama is a specialty roastery in Chiang Mai, famous for its delicious coffee. It is a famous hill tribe coffee shop. There are several branches, but the Phrasingh branch is the most accessible.
Since it is a specialty shop where hill tribe people grow, roast, and brew coffee in the nearby highlands, I highly recommend trying the filter coffee. The fragrant acidity was a pleasant taste.
The coffee is really delicious, and the red brick building itself is cool and the interior is pretty. They also sell various goods such as drip bags, coffee beans, and tumblers with hill tribe people on them, so they are great to buy as souvenirs.

2. If you had to visit just one temple in Chiang Mai?
-> Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan
This is the most famous and historic temple in Thailand. There is a Phra Singh Buddha statue, which is considered one of the sacred Buddha statues, and it is a beautiful place with gorgeous golden murals and wooden temples. All temples have their own charm, but if you have to go to only one place due to a busy schedule, I recommend this one, which has a typical Lanna-style architecture and is well located for the route.

3. If you had to pick one of the most delicious Thai foods?
- > Basil Pork Fried Rice (Pad Kra Pao Moo)
All Thai foods are really delicious, but I recommend Basil Fried Rice, which is a combination that you can never get tired of and cannot be bad! Adding egg fritters is a must! 😋
