Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan, Chiang Mai

Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan, a tourist attraction in Chiang Mai, is a royal temple that reflects the exquisite Lanna art style. It is also home to an important Buddha image, “Phra Buddha Sihing,” which Buddhists all over Thailand love to worship.

“Wihan Lai Kham,” the place where Phra Buddha Sihing is enshrined, is beautifully decorated with classic “golden pattern on red background” murals, including a castle surrounded by dragons and swans, as well as paintings of the Suwanna Hong and Sangthong stories, which are only a few places found in Thailand.

Outside, there is Phra That Luang, Wat Phra Singh, a bell-shaped pagoda, believed to have been influenced by Phra That Hariphunchai. The pagoda is covered with gold leaf (gold leaf, brass, and copper). The base, which was later renovated, has elephant sculptures on all four sides. In addition, there are four small pagodas built at the base and four more at the corners, which are different from other pagodas. #Get a discount without relying on luck #VisitChiangMai
