I don't go to the temple to ask for a blessing, but to make a promise to myself.

📿 Temples are not superstitions, they are promises to yourself

🍜 That morning, I started with Khao Soi Kha Moo at “Khao Soi Lamduan Fa Ham” – the soup was rich, fragrant with northern spices, the noodles were soft and smooth, the pork leg was so tender that you almost didn’t have to chew.

The energy from breakfast… made me ready to walk all day.

🛫 Actually, I just came to my brother’s wedding in Chiang Mai. When the event ended, I had time to wait to go back, so I “just walked into 1 temple”.

But it was like those temples pulled me in step by step…

From “just walking around”

It became “promises to yourself” without having to say it out loud.

🛕 11 temples – 11 lessons (that you might get if you walk slowly)

1. Wat Lok Moli
The old wood, the silence made me hear “my own voice” clearer than usual.

2. Wat Sri Suphan
The silver church that reflects everything… Including my hesitation
3. Wat Chet Lin
Simple, ordinary, but I know that I must “make it”
4. Wat Chang Kham
The name of the temple says that
We must be the “elephant support” for ourselves before anyone else can rely on us
5. Wat Chedi Luang
So great that all the problems we carry seem “small”
6. Wat Phan Tao
The old wood that is still standing says that…
Age is not important, stability lies in the heart
7. Wat Inthakhil Sadue Muang
The center of the city that has become the center of “my will”
8. Wat Chang Yuan
Even though no one has noticed, “firmness” still stands
9. Wat Ku Tao
A strange ancient Chinese-style pagoda that makes me realize that
“different” can be elegant
10. Wat Nong Kham
In the middle of the city but peaceful
This temple reminds us that sometimes what we want may be closer than we think
11. Wat Chai Si Phum
Small, simple, but I don’t want to leave this place…
It’s like this temple is a place “My Promise” has been received

☸️ Lessons from a day in Chiang Mai

Not merit
Not the word “temple visit”
But “a quiet moment to hear my promise again”

⚠️ Tips:
• Many temples are within walking distance in the old city
• Dress appropriately and give yourself time to feel
• Even if you only have 2–3 hours before your flight back… Chiang Mai can always give you “something”
