Wat Pa Daet, Chiang Mai

Wat Pa Daet in Chiang Mai is a sacred site known for its Ganesh shrine, which houses the famous deity named Uttarashree Ganapati. The name signifies "the one who grants success in righteous paths." The Ganesh statue is crafted from blackened bronze, featuring four arms holding a vajra, a noose, a tusk, and a bowl of sweets. Many visitors come to perform rituals and seek blessings from Lord Ganesh. It's worth noting that offerings are often booked months in advance. A Brahmin priest conducts the fire ritual (Aarti) and applies a forehead blessing. Alternatively, visitors can purchase worship kits directly from the temple.
