Bhubing Palace

#September2025

🏯 Bhubing Palace, the winter residence of the Thai royal family in Chiang Mai, was built in 1961 and sits at an altitude of approximately 1,400 meters on Doi Suthep Mountain. The palace blends modern Thai and European styles and is surrounded by extensive gardens, where roses, temperate flowers, and rare plants from around the world bloom year-round. The palace houses royal residences, banquet halls, and an artificial lake, and is renowned for its beautiful landscape and cool climate. The gardens are at their most spectacular from January to March each year, and on weekdays, some areas are open to the public (long pants or skirts are required as a sign of respect). It is a popular summer retreat and royal attraction in Chiang Mai.
