Introducing General Dai Anlan's Tomb

The Mausoleum of General Dai Anlan, located in Hulupo, Huaxi Park, is a renowned cemetery in Guiyang dedicated to patriotic education. Dai Anlan joined the third class of the Whampoa Military Academy in July 1915, later rising to battalion commander and then regimental commander. He fought bravely against the Japanese in various battles, achieving numerous victories. In 1939 (the 28th year of the Republic of China), he was appointed commander of the 200th Army Division.

The three-story mausoleum is magnificent. Climbing the stairs, you first reach the middle platform, where there is a black marble stele, about one foot high and ten feet wide, with a trapezoidal thickness of about one and a half feet, which looks solemn, elegant and generous.

The front of the stele features a brief introduction to General An Lan, while the back bears a 1942 Presidential Citation from President Roosevelt. Both Chinese and English characters are inlaid with gold. Further up the stairs, a stone bust of General An Lan stands majestically, its pedestal approximately six feet high. The front bears the inscription of the great Zhou Enlai: " Hero of the Nation, Hero of the Nation . " The bust, over three feet tall, wears a military cap and uniform, its square face handsome and resolute, a hint of a smile.
