Wat Lok Moli, an ancient temple of Lanna

Wat Lok Moli is an ancient temple located in Chiang Mai city. Built in 1527, Phra Kesaklao commanded that Ban Hua Wiang be transformed into a temple. He then built a chedi and a viharn (vihara). Upon his death, his relics were enshrined.

The temple's chedi is over 500 years old and is made of brick in a castle-like shape. Sculptures depicting deities adorn the corners of the chedi. The main viharn is made of teak wood and decorated with Lanna-style art. The roof is decorated with stained glass, adding to the beauty.

If you're visiting Chiang Mai, don't miss this temple. It's truly beautiful and magnificent.
