Inside Wat Suan Dok, there is another important thing, which is the group of stupas containing the ashes of northern royals, starting from King Kawila, the ancestor of the family
in Chiang Mai onwards, including the royals who ruled Chiang Mai. This stupa was collected by Princess Dara Rasami from various places and placed in one place to honor her. The stupa is a small castle-shaped architectural group built in the same area, beautifully planned and organized. Currently, the northern royal stupa has been registered as an important ancient site under the supervision of the Fine Arts Department.
