Phra Chao Ka King
Phra Chao Ka King is the principal Buddha image in the royal chapel. King Kuena Thammarat ordered craftsmen to build it from bronze. It is a Buddha image in the meditation posture, the same size as his body while standing, with a lap width of 2 meters and a height of 2.5 meters. Information from the Lanna Legends Collection states that it was built by the order of King Kuena's mother to be presented to King Kuena in place of him when he was seriously ill. This is one of the reasons why the name of the Buddha image built to represent him is "Phra Chao Ka King".
Coordinates: Located at 139 Suthep Road, Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province, in Chiang Mai Municipality, approximately 1 kilometer west of Suan Dok Gate. The temple covers an area of 35 rai, 2 ngan, and 44 square wa. It belongs to the Mahanikaya sect of monks.
