Suan Dok Temple

According to the legend of the construction of Phra That Doi Suthep,
Phra Sumana Thera of Sukhothai had a strange dream that
the relics of the Lord Buddha, which King Dharma Ashoka ordered to be enshrined in the Phra Chedi Muang Bang Khlang
Now the pagoda has collapsed. On the side of the pagoda, there is a bunch of needles hugging each other, which looks like a bench, where the relics of the Lord Buddha reside.
He asked him to dig up this relic.
Phra Sumana Thera therefore ordered the digging of the relics beside the bunch of needles.

When Phraya Kuena invited Phra Sumana Thera to Chiang Mai, he brought the relics with him.
One was enshrined at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
and the other was enshrined at Wat Buppharam or Wat Suan Dok
in the large pagoda
