Suthep Mountain is 1,676 meters above sea level. It is one of the twin peaks of a granite mountain west of Chiang Mai, Thailand. From the top of the mountain, you can see the scenery of Chiang Mai city and its surrounding areas.
Another peak is 1,685 meters above sea level, called Doi Pui, which is slightly higher than Doi Suthep.
Suthep Mountain is 15 kilometers away from the center of Chiang Mai. The vegetation below 1,000 meters above sea level is mainly deciduous forest, while the vegetation above 1,000 meters is evergreen forest.
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is located on a mountain about 1,060 meters above Haiba. It is a part of Doi Suthep Mountain. It can also be said that this temple made the mountain. This Buddhist temple dates back to the 13th century and is an important site for the devout. In a story based on the legend of the white elephant, a temple was built by order of King Nunun. #OverseasTravel #ThailandTravelStrategy #ThailandTravel2022 #ThailandTravel #ThailandGoodDestinations #ThailandTravel #Chiangmai #ChiangmaiTravel #ChiangmaiTravel
