The world's first silver chapel

#BeautifulTempleLocation

The World's First Silver Ubosot (Ordination Hall) is a magnificent sight.

Wat Sri Suphan, Chiang Mai Province, is an ancient temple built in 1500 during the reign of King Mueang Kaew, king of the Mangrai Dynasty. It's a must-see temple when visiting Chiang Mai.

The highlight of this temple is the world's first silver ubosot (or ordination hall). Built with the faith of the silverware-making community, it preserves and develops the local silverware craftsmanship. The ubosot (or ordination hall) is a traditional Lanna architectural style, constructed of brick and mortar, and decorated with aluminum and silver throughout. Three-dimensional carvings create intricate patterns both inside and outside the ubosot, making it a truly magnificent ubosot.
