The Blue Temple

Wat Rong Suea Ten translates to "home of the dancing tiger" in Thai, however it is more popularly referred to as "the Blue Temple" by foreigners. The temple has comparable embellishments to Wat Rong Khun on the outside (the White Temple). The interior is decorated in a brilliant blue color scheme with gold accents.

The main area ends with a big Buddha statue, making it one of the most photogenic sites in Chiang Rai. Wat Rong Suea Ten, about 3 kilometers north of town, is a Buddhist temple. It is possible to walk or ride a bicycle in this area. On a tour to Baan Dam (the Black Hose) and Pong Phrabat Waterfall, I recommend stopping by Wat Rong Suea Ten.
