Wat Rong Khun, Chiang Rai

Wat Rong Khun or “White Temple” is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Chiang Rai. Designed by Professor Chalermchai Kositpipat, it emphasizes the beauty of contemporary art mixed with Buddhist concepts.

The entire temple is white. Overall, it looks unusual and interesting. The highlight is the bridge to the chapel, which has a demon hand and many detailed sculptures. It is suitable for those who like to take pictures or are interested in art.

Photography is prohibited inside the chapel. The paintings inside are both Buddhist and modern culture (such as superheroes, cartoon characters), which some people may feel is incompatible with the temple. However, it has an interesting artistic perspective.
