Ancient Site of Chiang Saen

🏚 Wat That Khiew: There is no evidence regarding its construction. Based on the architectural style, it is presumed to have been built around the 22nd Buddhist century.
🧱 This is a group of ancient sites facing east. The base of the main hall is adorned with stucco patterns. Originally, there was a stucco Buddha statue, but it has since deteriorated and collapsed.
🗻 Additionally, there are 2-3 other ancient mounds in the area.
🛕 The most intact structure is a round bell-shaped stupa located behind the main hall. It is a brick and stucco stupa approximately 15 meters high, with a high lotus base adorned with decorative beads. The base measures 10 meters on each side. The bell-shaped body is round, but the top has collapsed. The garland motifs show Ayutthaya art influence.
