Top of Lake Da Dong Mountain: A Cool Summer Retreat

Escape the summer heat at Dinghu Dadongshan

Located at 1,976 meters above sea level, it's located in Fenchihu, Alishan Township, Chiayi County. It's one of Taiwan's Little Hundred Peaks and a National Forest Trail designated by the Forestry Bureau. The trail is in excellent condition, with beautiful forest scenery along the way. The average temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius year-round, making it a pleasant experience. Four trails connect scenic spots such as the Tree and Stone Alliance, Seven Star Rock, Stone Lion Elephant, Guanyin Rock, and Titanic Rock. Choose a route based on your energy level and time. The trail is clearly marked, and the facilities are well-equipped, with seating available for rest.

The summit is marked by a wooden sign, but without foundation stones. There's also a 360-degree viewing platform and pavilion, offering panoramic views of the Yushan and Tashan peaks, Alishan Recreation Area, Caoling, Shibi Mountain, Jianan Yunfeng, and more. It's an excellent spot for watching the sunrise, sea of ​​clouds, and sunset.
