Alishan Forest Railway - Liyuanliao Station

Liyuanliao Station is a small stop on the Alishan Forest Railway, located in Chiayi County, Taiwan. The train only stops here once a day. There is a convenient parking lot nearby, and the train departs at 10:36 AM heading to Shizilu Station. Visitors can explore the area and then take the afternoon train back to Liyuanliao.

Liyuanliao is a very small station with a few benches on the tracks for passengers to alight directly from the train. Along the railway, there are many wild ginger flowers, filling the air with a delightful fragrance.

The Alishan Forest Railway is an important tourist transportation system in Taiwan. Passengers can ride the train through magnificent mountain forests and enjoy the stunning scenery along the way. I once took the train from Shizilu Station to Chiayi City, marveling at the changing vegetation and listening to the conductor narrate the stories of the Alishan Railway. It felt like a journey through time.
