Beijing Surrounding Area Travel Guide: Haituo Valley

👉 Haituo Valley is located at the border of Yanqing District in Beijing and Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province. It features mountains, lakes, and popular coffee shops. The temperature is about 10 degrees lower than in Beijing, making it an ideal summer getaway!

🚙Transportation
🚐Self-driving: Navigate to 'Haituo Valley International Tourism Resort'. It takes about 3 hours to drive from downtown Beijing.

🏘️Accommodation Recommendations
🔸Haituo Valley has four accommodation areas, including the Ruilan Hotel Villa Area, RV Area, Villa Area, and Tent Campsite. Among them, Ruilan Hotel is the core accommodation area of the resort, offering various room types to meet the needs of different tourists. Additionally, the RV Area and Tent Campsite are great places to experience valley camping. PS: Hotels are more comfortable!

🍱Food Recommendations
🔹There are two dining options in the valley: a Chinese restaurant canteen and a Western restaurant. Breakfast is also served in the Chinese restaurant canteen. You can pay at the front desk to recharge a card for consumption. The taste is quite good.

Entertainment:
▫️There are many activities, but they are not cheap, making the Bawang Tea I brought from the city even more precious.
✔️1473 Café: Located at an altitude of 1473 meters.
✔️Lake Train: 30 yuan per person for the small train around the lake and the large train in the camping area.
✔️Valley Entrance Fee: 50 yuan for adults, 25 yuan for children. Children over 1.2 meters are charged as adults. The park parking fee is 20 yuan per entry (so if you go to a farmhouse for a meal, make sure to inform them or avoid driving out). Some accommodations also charge entrance and parking fees, but you can negotiate with the owner.
✔️Paddleboarding: 300 yuan per hour on Swan Lake. The lake is small and has swans.
✔️Horse Riding: 88 yuan per ride, 238 yuan around the lake.
✔️Bumper Cars: 68 yuan for 15 minutes.
