[National Park Lake Shikotsu] Marukoma Onsen Ryokan

Lake Shikotsu is said to be the northernmost non-freezing lake in Japan. The view from the lake-side room is as shown in the picture, and the lake and sunrise were beautiful.
All electricity in the building is generated by private generators, and the lake water is purified before being returned to the lake. Due to its location, the hotel is managed through various initiatives.
The water level in the natural open-air bath that springs from beneath your feet is the same as that of Lake Shikotsu, but this varies depending on the season, so the water level was lower when I visited.
From the open-air observation bath in the large public bath for men and women, you can see Lake Shikotsu, which also has a spectacular view of the national park.
Relax in the bath and enjoy the beautiful view!
