North Lounge at New Chitose Airport

As soon as I stepped into 'Festival Plaza' inside New Chitose Airport, the atmosphere felt completely different. Instead of the bustling lights of duty-free shops, it felt like a small village here. Soft music played in the background, and right in front of me was an exhibition space filled with dolls.
Teddy bears had created a little village. On the castle walls, a soldier bear held a flag, under a tree, a bear was tending a campfire, and inside a cabin, a baby bear was peeking out the window. Each one had such lifelike expressions, as if someone had carefully imbued them with individual stories.
As I crossed a wooden bridge, I found myself wondering, "What kind of conversations are these bears having right now?" Just imagining it brought a smile to my face. After snapping a few photos, I realized that this wasn't just an exhibition—it was a space where time seemed to flow more slowly.
Even though it was inside an airport, instead of the sound of airplanes, there was a serene atmosphere from the world of these dolls. Festival Plaza wasn't just a place for a quick look around; it was a space where your heart could take a brief rest. It's the perfect spot to visit before a flight—a place that makes your departure feel a little warmer.
