Bangsaen is not just the name of a small beach in Chonburi, but a place of memories that are lingering in the hearts of many generations of university students. This place is the center of everything: laughter, loneliness, love, and the recklessness of teenage life.

Bangsaen…not just the sea

Bangsaen is the second home of Burapha students. After school, the sound of motorcycles rings out at the same time, heading up Khao Sam Muk, circling the familiar winding roads. Some days, they stop by the seaside, letting their eyes watch the crashing waves, leaving their stress behind.

If they are too tired, just walk out to Bangsaen Beach to watch the sunset, turning the sea orange and red. That image never fades from their memories.

On days when they feel lonely, they often stop by Laem Tan, letting their hearts be blown by the waves and sea breeze, or sitting and watching the squid fishing boats in the evening. The lights from the small boats in the dark sea make their hearts strangely calm.

And if you want to add some excitement, go up Khao Sam Muk to greet—or even have a little quarrel with—the local monkeys, because this place is not just a tourist attraction. But it is a life experience with its own unique flavor.

Market, food and friendship in memory

Bangsaen is not only good for the sea view, but also full of liveliness of the market and roadside restaurants. The route from the university to the beach is full of boat noodle shops, som tam shops, fresh seafood that open to welcome you until late at night.

Some nights, I stop to buy rice balls in front of 7-Eleven or sip milk tea by the roadside, listen to the sound of the waves instead of music, and laugh with friends, forgetting the time, as if time here moves a little slower than other places.

Even though today I have stepped out of university, Bangsaen is still a sweet memory. The sea here may not be the most beautiful, but it has a charm that makes us feel free.

Bangsaen teaches us to appreciate small happinesses, teaches us to be with ourselves comfortably, and knows that… when we are tired, just secretly thinking about the sea there, our hearts will immediately calm down.

Because Bangsaen is not just a place — it is a period of life that we will never forget.
