Institute of Marine Science, Burapha University (also known as "Bangsaen Aquarium / Bangsaen Underwater World Learning Center")
📍 Basic Information
• Located in Saensuk Subdistrict, Bangsaen District, Chonburi Province, in front of Burapha University (approximately 1.5-2 hours from Bangkok).
• Open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM (subject to change, please check again).
• Admission prices: Thai adults 80 baht / children 40 baht (free for children under 90 cm tall).
• Foreigners: Prices vary, e.g., adults 220 baht / children 120 baht (updated information subject to change).
✅ Highlights
• A large display tank (Big Tank) with a glass tunnel to walk through, giving the impression of being truly underwater, a highlight of the aquarium.
• There is also a "Glowing Jellyfish" zone, beautifully lit and perfect for taking photos.
• Suitable for families and children, as it showcases a wide variety of marine life. It also includes learning about the marine ecosystem, which is both fun and educational.
• The admission fee is not too expensive compared to the number of exhibits, making it a great value.
🕒 Visiting Tips
• We recommend visiting in the morning after opening (around 9:00 AM) to enjoy a cooler and less crowded experience.
• 1-2 hours is sufficient (after which you can stop at Bangsaen Beach or a nearby cafe).
• Don't forget to bring your camera/phone, as there are beautiful photo spots, especially in the jellyfish zone and the underwater tunnel.
• For those driving, there's parking at Burapha University. We recommend parking there and walking into the building.
• If you're traveling with small children, focus on the aquatic zones—they'll have a lot of fun.
