White Elephant Residence, a Chongqing-style building with a strong local flavor

The terrain of Chongqing in mainland China is special, and almost all the buildings are built on the mountains. However, there is a community called "Bai Xiangju" which was built 30 years ago. Each building is 24 stories high but there is no elevator! However, this place, which makes residents and couriers crawl to their knees, is a very popular check-in landmark, because every corner of it can be used to take great photos. It is also a designated check-in point for many Internet celebrities when they come to Chongqing.

Chongqing is known as the "Mountain City" and many buildings are built on the mountains. Among them, this community building called "Bai Xiangju" is a celebrity among internet celebrities and a check-in spot for many internet beauties.
Every corner of the community building can be used to capture different visual effects. The most amazing thing is that Baixiangju has six buildings, each with 24 floors, but there is no elevator. Each building is connected by skywalks, which contain restaurants, hair salons, and cafes. Residents of the buildings can run businesses in their own corridors, forming a unique economic circle.
As you walk along, the first floor will become the twelfth floor. It is absolutely normal to get lost here, but in fact, each building currently has more than 200 households living in it, and it has attracted many architectural scholars to come for research and analysis.
Professor of the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Chongqing University: "In fact, it can be understood as dismantling a 24-story building into three 8-story buildings and stacking them together."
This building won the first prize for excellent architectural design in Chongqing in 1994. Almost all the residents here are old residents, but the most troubled ones are definitely the couriers.
