Bashu Ancient Architecture Museum is located in University Town, Shapingba District.
It was built on the original site of Fuxing Temple and has only four units in total, showcasing the traditional architectural culture and development history of the Bashu region.
Generally speaking, the exhibition hall is very small and the value of the collections is not very high, but I particularly like it here (probably because of the major I studied in college).
The exhibition hall's traffic flow design and collection layout are very thoughtful. It is a small and beautiful museum with details everywhere. While learning about the traditional architectural culture of the Bayu region, you can also learn about the development of Yuzhou City.
The first collection has basically no glass covers, so you can observe the details up close. I particularly like the model of Jingyuan Hall in Wuhou Temple in Chengdu. It has a 1:3 scale and intuitively displays the location and function of each building component.
