The Huangge Ancient Trail is located on the southern mountain of Chongqing's main city. It runs from Haitang Creek to Huangjuya Old Street on the mountain. Along the way, there are towering ancient trees, green shades all over the mountain, insects chirping, and birds singing. There are also pavilions and teahouses, and you can also hike to Laojun Cave. It is an ancient forest oxygen bar trail that is more than 800 years old!

The highlight section is from Dunhoupo Old Street to the viewing platform at the intersection on the top of the mountain. After passing the passage under the inner ring road, you can reach the hiking trail to Laojun Cave by turning left at the first two intersections. It is recommended to go straight first, there will be more towering trees along the way, and you can take a break and take some photos at the pavilion, which is very photogenic. Then when you are almost at the top, there is an old street that is being renovated. There are a few teahouses next to it. It is also nice to take photos nearby. The stilt house with stone railings outside is also a popular camera spot for internet celebrities. The photos there are very forest-like and very photogenic. It takes another 2 minutes to reach the top. There is an observation deck on the right side of the intersection where you can see the scenery of Chongqing city outside the valley. Further up is Huangjuya Old Street.
On the left side of the old street under renovation, there is a small path that leads to the trail behind, all the way to Laojun Cave. From Laojun Cave, go right and follow the downhill trail to return to Dunhoupo Old Street.
