📸 Chongqing’s Cyberpunk Aesthetic Is Truly Top-Tier‼️

“Cyber city! It’s crazy!” That phrase from Jia-Kang-Ge (甲亢哥) went viral everywhere when he recently visited Chongqing. But honestly, Chongqing’s nights have long amazed countless photographers. The monorail weaving between skyscrapers, the sea of taxis beneath neon-red and green lights, the overpasses at dusk…
Mist, lights, density, speed—every frame feels like living inside a movie.

Below are some of my favorite cyberpunk-inspired shooting spots I’ve compiled over the past two years. You’ll find both popular angles and off-the-beaten-track gems—everything shoots with maximum atmosphere. 👌

1️⃣ Yalan International Tower (29th Floor Rooftop)
• Entry: ¥30 per person
• Best for late-night shots without weird colored show lights

2️⃣ Guanyinqiao Classic Spot
• Navigate to North City Mall (Beicheng Tianjie) Gate 8
• Use a 2–5 second long exposure for that light-trail effect

3️⃣ Tangjiayuanzi Monorail Station, Exit 2

4️⃣ Daxigou Monorail Station
• Feels like a “small‐town Japanese-style” monorail station

5️⃣ Qiānfó Temple & Chaotianmen in One Frame
• Navigate to Himalaya Banquet Hall

6️⃣ Chaodong Road
• Raffles City glowing in the distance

7️⃣ Under the Hongyan Village Bridge
• No one else can get up there—must Photoshop yourself in

8️⃣ Xiejiawan Interchange & Egongyan Bridge
• Navigate to Longteng Avenue / Xiexiaolu Intersection

9️⃣ Skywalk Outside Jiangbei Airport Arrival Hall
• Rows of yellow Ferraris lined up perfectly—check it immediately upon landing. Chongqing is truly ahead of its time.

1️⃣0️⃣–1️⃣1️⃣ HaiShilù 75 Café Checkpoint
• Looks even more epic at night

1️⃣2️⃣ Wangjiang Apartment 8th-Floor Terrace

1️⃣3️⃣ (Three Spots Around Liziba Station)
• Navigate to Feihu Riverside Hotpot

1️⃣4️⃣ Shangqingsi Police Station

1️⃣5️⃣ Lansheng Pavilion
• Taxi to Datianwan Primary School and avoid the stairs

1️⃣6️⃣ Under Chongqing Grand Theatre by the Riverside

1️⃣7️⃣ On the Jialing River Bridge at Zengjiayan

1️⃣8️⃣ Inside Haitangxi Monorail Station
This trip to Chongqing, I flew on Air China—super punctual and comfortable. Touching down right as the city hit its “golden hour,” the view out the window felt like the opening scene of a film.
I chose to stay at Donghewan Hotel in the city center—super convenient for both metro and monorail, so chasing spots was effortless. The lobby and room designs were also incredibly photogenic.

Snapping a photo isn’t hard; capturing Chongqing’s unique texture might take visiting several times. But every time I wander this city, I’m blown away again by its layers and rhythm.
