A Healing Mountain Retreat Hidden in the Deep Mountains of Chongqing - Dale Zhiye · Simian Mountain

Simian Mountain Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing
Dale Zhiye · Simian Mountain is located in Toudaohe Village, Simian Mountain Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing, nestled among surrounding peaks. It is about a 2-hour drive from the main city. The winding road gradually changes the view outside the window from buildings to layers of greenery. The closer you get to the destination, the fresher the air and the denser the greenery, as if experiencing a "time-space shift" from the city to the mountains.
The hotel consists of 7 independent buildings, staggered along the mountain terrain into three groups: "Mountain View," "Leaning on the Mountain," and "Hidden Mountain." The design blends local culture with modern aesthetics—red brick walls and deep eaves with small green tile roofs echo the traditional style of eastern Sichuan residences. The red staircases weave through the forest like "Monument Valley," creating a strong visual impact with the infinity pool and suspended terraces, both modern and vintage.
The hotel has only 7 independent buildings with a total of 24 rooms. The space is dominated by natural wood and cotton-linen materials. Tatami mats and scenic terraces are standard features, waking up to endless green mountains and sea of clouds. Each room is equipped with both floor heating and air conditioning systems, suitable for both winter and summer.
The restaurant, named "Ye You Shi," emphasizes the concept of "from field to table." Ingredients are mostly sourced locally: bamboo shoots from Simian Mountain, free-range farm chickens, fresh fish from the streams, and even wild mushrooms picked in the early morning, all starring on the dining table. Breakfast features warming small noodles and whole grains, and in the afternoon, you can order a hand-brewed coffee at the "Ye You Coffee" café. Drinking coffee facing the cliff is such a cool experience.
