Gaoshanling, formerly known as Piye Mountain, is located 4 kilometers northwest of Lincheng Town, Lingao County, Hainan Province. Villages and houses dot the ridge, crisscrossing paths and vast green fields. Climbing to the summit, the view offers a panoramic view, a glimpse of the surrounding landscape, and a sense of being able to survey the surrounding landscape. The Beibu Gulf churns with waves, dotted with fishing boats; to the east, the Wenlan River flows gracefully through Lingao County like a white jade ribbon; to the west, Xinying Harbor sparkles with the shimmering waters, with ships bustling through the azure sea.
Hidden within the ridge are the ever-present Thousand Mirror Lake, Om Ang Lake, and Dove Pond. Even more famous are the "Vaya Sanskrit Stele," erected by the Indian Brahman Vaya Master during the Han Dynasty, and the mountain temple built in 1314. Legend has it that the temple is so efficacious that it draws a constant stream of tourists seeking fortune-telling daily.
