Somewhere on the steep ridges of Fótú Guān (佛图关), the cliffs whisper stories of old — prayer-etched stones, craggy slopes, and a silent watch over the city below.
Riding through this ancient pass felt like threading through time: the road carved into cliff flanks, Buddhist reliefs peering from rock faces, and the air turning thinner with every turn. At dusk, I paused in a grotto beneath a carved Bodhisattva and let the gravity of centuries settle in.
This was more than a ride — it was a pilgrimage on two wheels.
