Bordered by Tieling to the north and facing Fushun to the southeast, they are a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Site. Shitaizi Mountain City was a significant mountain fortress built during the Goguryeo occupation of Liaodong. Built using the natural terrain of the mountain, it is a closed stone fortress.

The mountain city is in the shape of an irregular triangle with a circumference of 1,384.1 meters. There are 10 battlements and 4 city gates around the city wall.

The mountain is high in the west and low in the east, wide in the south and narrow in the north, with the four corners being relatively high. The cross section of the mountain city wall is stepped, with the inner and outer walls built with regularly shaped wedge-shaped stones and the inner walls with prismatic inserts.

The inner wall is surrounded by rammed earth slope protection that extends slowly into the city, and there are slope protection stones in some places.
