This chartered car experience was fantastic. The car was clean and odor-free. It was October when we arrived in Chongqing, but it was still very hot, so the air conditioning was on the entire trip. We chose a chartered car because we were exhausted from the concert the day before and wanted to explore the next day at our own pace. We could choose our own destinations and there was space for our luggage. The driver arrived at the pick-up point early every time, never leaving us waiting. He also introduced us to local specialties and delicacies on the bus. Great!

Our chartered car itinerary was: Beishan Rock Carvings - Dazu Moment Museum - Baoding Mountain Scenic Area (highlights) - Shengshou Temple. We didn't have to backtrack at all.

We departed at 9:00 AM, and the driver suggested we visit the Beishan Rock Carvings in the morning. We purchased an electronic guidebook that focused on the carvings' appearance and culture. The entire trip took just over an hour, which was perfect for the morning.

At noon, we enjoyed a meal of local specialty, Youting crucian carp, near the Baodingshan Rock Carvings Scenic Area. After entering the scenic area in the afternoon, we took a sightseeing bus directly to the Dazu Shike Museum. From the museum, you can walk or take a bus to the Baodingshan Rock Carvings. The explanations at the Baodingshan Scenic Area were fascinating, with a storytelling approach and the spectacular rock carvings, which was truly breathtaking. Finally, we departed from Shengshou Temple and boarded a bus home. The entire journey took about 2-3 hours. I highly recommend chartering a bus for this trip; it was a relaxing experience, and the Dazu Rock Carvings are well worth visiting.
